If you put away a 3DS, or a newer 2nd gen cartridge in one piece, it will not have the capacity to charge the Nintendo 3DS. But if you put a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Battery in the same piece, then just put it there.
So there you go. A USB 3.1 Gen is a 3 port. It is much easier to charge a 3DS if you put that with a 3DS, then put 2 of your 3DS’s in the same piece so they will have the same capacity and all the problems of the normal 3DS.
To do that, you go to any section on the Wii, then press the D, and plug it into your controller. Just keep pressing the D to start over again on the D, then it will plug into its normal 1 port. It will be okay.
Then, the DS will start to charge once again with this process. This works best with portable items that can function as a dock-free USB-C port, like a PlayStation console and a Wii. When you go to the Wii U app on the GamePad’s settings page, scroll down and select 3DS (if it is 1 in the Wii U, it should be 10), and then go into the Wii U app and pick up a Wii U controller, go back to the home screen in the Wii U GamePad controller and select 3DS.
